Two daisies on a single gold stem, one in full bloom, one smaller, younger, reaching upward. Between them, a scrolled gold tendril and a single textured leaf, the way a real plant arranges itself when no one is watching.
The petals of this mother of pearl daisy brooch are carved from natural shell, each one catching light with the soft iridescence that only mother of pearl produces, somewhere between white and the faintest blush. At the centre of each bloom sits a disc of natural beeswax amber, warm golden-yellow against the cool shimmer of the shell. The contrast is quiet and precise.
At 8g it is one of the lightest pieces in the Lady.An collection. The kind of brooch that works on a linen shirt on a summer morning as well as on a silk blouse for something more considered.
