Labradorite is one of those stones that does not reveal itself immediately. Hold it still and it looks grey. Move it, and something happens, a flash of blue, then green, then something between the two that has no name. Gemologists call it labradorescence. It is the reason people collect this stone.
This natural labradorite brooch clusters the stones together the way hydrangea blooms do, dense, considered, each stone placed to catch the light at a slightly different angle. Set on a silver-toned framework that lets the stone do the work.
