Two gold-tone claws curve upward to hold a single natural green aventurine stone, the tension of the form doing exactly what it should, the stone held rather than set, suspended rather than fixed.
Aventurine is a variety of quartz with a particular quality of green, soft, slightly translucent, with a gentle shimmer that moves differently from polished jade or malachite. It is a stone that rewards close attention rather than demanding it from across the room. Against the warm gold of the setting, the green reads as considered rather than decorative.
The chain is 50cm with a 5cm extension, the pendant sitting at the collarbone or just below depending on how it is worn. At 4.94g it is one of the lightest pieces in the Lady.An collection.
